The Monterey Bay Chapter of the American Institute of Architects Awards Program for Design Excellence highlights architectural projects designed by members of the AIAMB. Recognition is given to projects which demonstrate exemplary skill and sensitivity in resolution of formal functional and technical requirements, regardless of the size/scale of the project.

2019 CATEGORIES:
- Non-Residential New Construction
- Non-Residential Remodel
- Residential New Construction
- Residential Remodel
- Historic Renovation/ Restoration
- Unbuilt Category (Projects fully designed but never realized)
ELIGIBILITY:
- Members, AIAMB Associate Members, & AIA Affiliate Members (In good standing with the AIA for the last 2 years)
- Projects Completed within the last 5 years (10 years for Unbuilt category)
- Project location can be anywhere for an AIAMB member & must be within the Chapter Tri-County service area for an affiliate member.
- Previously submitted projects which did not win and award may be re-submitted.
ALLOWABLE FORMATS:
- PDF for written content and J-peg (high resolution) all images
- Project Summary (Written Description): 250 words or less
- Images of Project: 12 images or less (12 is the maximum)
- Rate images from 1 to 10 (1 is best) only top 3 will be printed in Awards book.
LABELING YOUR SUBMISSION:
Clearly label you submission and contents with the person, or firm, whom you have chosen to receive the award credit. No other names, or companies,should be anywhere on the files. Everything beyond the file name should be in an anonymous format for judging (No markings or stamps that show the firm name, etc.).
