Joe will discuss the elements of the essential collaboration between architectural photograhers and their architect clients\, with panelists Greg Faulkner\, FAIA; Joe Dangaran\, AIA NCARB LEED AP; Mary Ann Schicketanz\, AIA; and moderator Erik Dyar\, AIA. \nSince moving to the US in 2003\, Joe has chronicled some of America’s best emerging and established architects\, such as Woods + Dangaran\, Faulkner Architects and Walker Workshop. She holds an MA in Curatorial Practice from California College of the Arts\, emphasis Architectural History and Theory. \nPresentation:\nThe American Institute of Architects Monterey Bay in collaboration with the Monterey Museum of Art is presenting a lecture and conversation which will take a deeper look at the exhibition Morley Baer: Modernism in Northern California Architecture at the Monterey Art Museum\, and curated by Cydney Payton. Payton will talk about her curatorial process and the questions that arose during her research. We will hear about findings as well as what research remains. Ideas related to the complicated histories between art and architecture and the photographic image will be put forward through selected architectural photographs taken by Baer. Cydney Payton is an American curator and writer. Her focus is contemporary art and architecture.
