SUMMARY:ARE/CSE California HUB Codes & Regulations
DESCRIPTION:Monday\, July 13\, 2026\, 5:30 to 6:30 P.M. \nStudy Hub is AIA California’s pathway for emerging professionals to study and pursue licensure. These statewide ARE study sessions and virtual study groups serve as a hub for education\, connection\, and community. This portal does not replace other study materials or resources\, rather it supplements them\, serving as a network and allowing for collaboration between EPs and AIA professionals across California.\nThis year\, we’re streamlining your study experience by grouping commonly paired exams together. \nProgramming & Analysis (PA) focuses on the evaluation of project requirements\, constraints\, and opportunities. The division will focus on issues related to programming\, site analysis\, and zoning and code requirements. Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of and abilities in project type analysis\, the establishment of qualitative and quantitative project requirements\, evaluation of project site and context\, and assessment of economic issues. \nRegister here.

SUMMARY:Sustainable Roofing Solutions: Unlocking the Power of Modern Asphalt Shingles
DESCRIPTION:Sustainable Roofing Solutions:\nUnlocking the Power of Modern Asphalt Shingles \nWebinar: Tues.\, September 22\, 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.\nCost: Free\nContinuing Education Units: 1 LU | HSW \nDescription:\nThis course will demonstrate the differences between asphalt types and how shingles have evolved with modern manufacturing innovations that boost performance. You will be able to identify how polymer modified asphalt can contribute to a healthier environment and a longer life cycle when compared with oxidized shingle products. Learn how smog-reducing granules help take the NO2 nitrates and reduce them to a fertilizer falling to the ground with the next dew or rainfall. Understand how solar reflective granules cool the roof\, along with algae resistant granules that reduce black streaking. You will learn the Five-Step system and the value of integrating a complete roofing system. You will see how warranties are a “value-add” to any project specification.
